Our aim is to help our clients spend more time living life between their appointments by creating cutting edge hair styling that glows with inner health and grows out well. Each client receives a custom-tailored consultation and hair analysis with one of our expert technicians. Choose from our menu of treatments, whilst you switch off and enjoy the experience. We even offer silent appointments for those who want tranquillity and calm.

Carolyn
Business Development Manager
Since arriving in Doha in 2018, Carolyn Sidgwick, hailing from the UK, has been dedicated to revitalizing her sister’s business, Roots Hair & Beauty Salon. In her quest to market Roots, she’s ventured into innovative avenues, organizing events and fostering connections among women in business. Through initiatives like the Tuesday Ladies Group (TLG), she facilitates gatherings for expat women, providing opportunities to forge friendships and delve into Doha’s culture. Alongside, Carolyn works as a personal fitness trainer with Fit20, offering a unique approach to achieving fitness goals in just 20 minutes a week. Beyond her professional endeavors, she administers numerous WhatsApp groups, aiding women in job searches and keeping the community updated on events and promotions through her latest venture, What’s on Doha. Carolyn’s journey in Doha has been transformative, fueled by her commitment to supporting women from all walks of life, stemming from her own journey of healing.
Lauren
Salon Manager
Lauren originally comes from London and has a Caribbean heritage. She has over 15 years of experience, of which nearly half has been in Doha. She has spent many years perfecting her craft and has an extensive knowledge on all textures of hair. Lauren’s multitude of artistic passions translates into her creating perfectly sculpted styles that are aesthetically unique and full of movement and life. Lauren is very passionate about her career, from session styling on photo shoots to her work in the salon with her team and clients. She specialises in Afro hair, extensions, styling all hair types and highlights. Lauren has an outgoing and bubbly personality and a very diverse and loyal clients base, who have been going to her for years. As Manager, she focuses on the development and growth of her whole team.

She’s had the privilege of receiving training from influential figures such as Harriet Stokes and Sophia Hilton, refining her craft to deliver the perfect blend of creativity and precision.

Line is an expert in various beauty services, from manicures & pedicures to waxing. She’s also a certified eyelash extensions specialist and SPMU artist.
Her passion for beauty has motivated her to continuously pursue growth and originality since starting as a manicurist back in 2001.

Joy is one of our talented beauticians and is from the Philippines. She has been in the beauty industry for 11 years. She is extremely talented and knowledgeable with many strings to her bow. Joy is a perfectionist in all aspects of her services and her most popular service is eyelash extensions. Her other services include LVL, waxing, massage, reflexology, threading, facials, manicures and pedicures. Joy has many loyal clients which is why she is always busy.

Ni comes from Bali and has worked in the beauty business in this region for over 15 years – half of that time with Roots. Ni is our Superstar Facial Expert and has the ability to understand what each client needs. She is extremely knowledgeable and a true professional. With her vast experience you will feel safe in her hands.

With over three years of experience in the beauty industry, Mae has joined Roots. Her passion lies in nail care, where she has perfected her craft to an exceptional standard. Mae specializes in manicures, pedicures, and a wide range of nail refinements, including soft gel extensions (Gel-X), acrylic extensions, hard gel extensions, and overlays. She is also skilled in creating artistic nail designs that showcase her creative flair. Mae’s dedication to her craft ensures that each client leaves feeling confident and pampered. With her warm, detail-oriented approach, she has already begun building a loyal following at Roots.

Muriel joined Roots in 2016 and has grown and flourished ever since. She is highly dependable and has fallen in love with the hair and beauty industry. She has received on-the-job training and proved she is naturally skilled in giving hair services so she now has her own regular clients.

Leonie (better known as Leo) has been in Qatar for nearly 10 years and is originally from the Philippines.
She started her journey at Roots as a receptionist in 2020 but showed a real interest in being on the shop floor. She lends a helping hand to all stylists and is on her journey to make the best out of the hair world. She loves talking to people, helping them unwind and unburden and generally just making people feel loved.

Operations Manager
Asha wears many hats in Roots and is our “font of all knowledge”. She has been with Roots since 2018 and is a real “team player”, as well as an amazing support to all staff. If no one knows, we know Asha will!

Finance Manager
Nathalie is originally from South Africa although she now calls the UK her home. She has been in Doha since 2009 and joined the Roots family in 2020. Nathalie is detail driven and her passion is Finance. She has brought a high level of experience across many aspects of management and transformed this area of the business. She is a key and valued member of the Management Team.

Jan will always welcome you with a huge smile. She has a soft approach and loves to make sure the clients are happy and taken care of. Jan has been with Roots since 2019 and has been blossoming ever since. She loves working in the hair and beauty industry and her infectious smiles shows it.

Receptionist
Suzette is from the Philippines and has lived and worked in Doha since 2013. You will always find Suzette answering your messages and calls with a smile. She is ultra-efficient and is the best at finding appointments for her clients. She cares deeply about every client who calls the salon, and it is her goal that everyone leaves the salon happy.
